It is with tremendous sadness that we learned today of the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. May she rest in peace.

Our prayers are with her family at this most difficult time and we also give thanks for the inspiration The Queen has provided to the Nation throughout her years of distinguished service. A lifetime of service carried out with great humility and dedication to her own faith.

Our prayer is that she is now received into the merciful presence of God, there to be reunited with her beloved Prince Philip. This is the promise of our faith, and our deep consolation.

Queen Elizabeth II will remain, always, a shining light in our history. May she now rest in peace.

We pray for His Majesty the King, as he assumes his new office even as he mourns his mother.

God save the King.

Last Wednesday Maria Fidelis hosted a tea party for nearly 100 local senior citizens. They all had a wonderful time. One guest wrote: "Thank you very much for such a lovely afternoon tea. It was our first visit.
The pupils were all very polite and helpful." Thank you and well done to the staff and students who helped prepare the event!
