We are securing the final spots for the GCSE Sciences Masterclass
One of the biggest misconceptions around GCSE exams is that strong performance comes purely from knowing the content.
In reality, many students lose marks because they struggle with exam ex*****on under pressure:
interpreting questions properly, structuring answers clearly, and communicating knowledge effectively in timed conditions.
This Friday we’ll be hosting a live GCSE Science Examiner Masterclass with experienced examiner and exam developer Katy Cruickshank, focused on the mistakes students commonly make and what stronger exam performance actually looks like from an examiner’s perspective.
A really valuable opportunity ahead of exam season.

One of the biggest misconceptions around GCSE Science is that “knowing the content” is enough.
Every year, students lose marks because they misunderstand command words, misread what the question is actually asking, or fail to communicate their knowledge clearly under pressure.
This Friday’s live session is designed to bridge that gap from an examiner’s perspective.
If your child is working hard but still feels inconsistent in exams, this will be particularly valuable.

We’ve upgraded our Learning Profile Assessment, and it’s not solely about learning styles.
Instead of asking how students prefer to learn, it identifies what’s actually holding them back, whether that’s motivation, focus, self-regulation, study habits, and depth of understanding.
This helps us spot:
- why confidence drops when work gets hard
- why revision doesn’t stick
- why students “work hard” but don’t see results
No labels. No fixed types.
Just clear, trainable skills tutors can act on from day one.
Because progress doesn’t come from fitting a category, it comes from building better learning habits.
Drop us a DM to see how we help students build the skills that actually drive progress.

Today we completed ADHD & Autism training for our tutors at Infinite Tutors, led by Hannah Kosky, a qualified psychotherapist.
As a company, we’ve always believed that improving outcomes isn’t just about subject knowledge, it’s about understanding how students think, regulate emotion, and engage with learning.
This training focused on practical, ethical, in-lesson strategies to better support neurodivergent students, particularly those who are often misunderstood or overlooked.
Grateful to Hannah for a thoughtful and grounded session, and proud of our tutors for continuing to raise the standard of how tutoring is done.

Most students don’t struggle because they’re “bad at the subject”.
In our work with GCSE and A-Level students, we see this all the time:
The issue is usually how they’re studying — not how capable they are.
Common patterns we see:
- High effort, low results
- Anxiety before revision or exams
- Difficulty focusing for long periods
- Students who understand content in lessons but underperform in tests
Once the learning approach is adapted to the student’s learning style and stress levels, progress often comes much faster.
Small changes in how a student studies can make a disproportionate difference to confidence and results.
If this sounds familiar, I’m happy to share what we typically look at in a first consultation.

📣 New Partnership: Supporting Neurodiverse Students
We’re proud to announce our official partnership with Hannah Kosky, a psychotherapist specialised in supporting young people with ADHD and ASD.
This collaboration will strengthen the support our students receive and ensure every Infinite Tutors educator is trained in:
• ADHD-informed tutoring
• Mild ASD-supportive lesson structures
• Stress, overwhelm & exam anxiety management
• Neurodiversity-affirming approaches
This training will now be embedded into all tutor onboarding, helping us deliver calmer, more structured and emotionally intelligent learning environments for every student.
We’re excited for what this means for the young people and families we support.
More to come.

The reason we are so good at what we do is because we take each student individually, reviewing how they learn, what their strengths and weaknesses are and adapt teaching to them.
