Eid al-Adha is a reminder of sacrifice, faith, and unwavering devotion 🌙✨

Rooted in the story of Prophet Ibrahim (AS), it reflects the strength to trust in something greater than ourselves; to choose purpose over comfort, even in moments of uncertainty.

It resonates with the growth that happens only in discomfort. Much like for our medics, dentists, and healthcare scientists, who exist in a constant space of learning, challenge, and at times, instability yet continue to show up with resilience and care.

It reminds us to trust that our pursuit of good health for all will be successful by our efforts, despite all the ways it could go wrong. As inscribed on the archway of St Bartholomew’s Hospital: “Whatever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might.” - a call to serve wholeheartedly, with intention and compassion.

Eid is also about giving, sharing with those in need, strengthening community, and ensuring no one is left behind.

Congrats to all the candidates in this year’s elections. A huge 976 students across Barts and The London voted, with 8511 total votes cast.

We need YOU to Steward Rites of Passage 2026!

RoP is a huge BL tradition, hosted in St Paul’s Cathedral, and is our biggest flagship event! With 2000 students, family and VIP guests, we need our team of stewards to help with set-up, ticket collection, signposting & crowd control! And you get to watch your friends graduate from front-row seats as we celebrate the end the university journey for our incredible doctors and dentists!
