🩻 Do you know your wrist X-ray angles?
The radial inclination angle is measured on a PA wrist X-ray and describes the slope of the distal radial articular surface in the coronal plane.
It is an important radiographic parameter when assessing distal radius fractures, helping us evaluate fracture displacement and the restoration of normal anatomy following reduction or fixation.
💡 Remember: Radial Inclination ≈ 22°
Knowing your normal X-ray measurements makes spotting abnormal anatomy much easier.

Dr. Marauka has worked extensively as a Junior Clinical Fellow within Surgical Departments in the NHS, served as a Resident Medical Officer in several private hospitals, and undertaken numerous locum roles across both medical and surgical specialties. Following this broad clinical exposure, Dr. Marauka progressed into specialist training and is currently a GP ST3 trainee, with a special interest in Women's Health.
