Northwood Drum Lessons Adam has been working as a professional drummer and drum teacher since he graduated from Leeds Colle From that, GOALS and MOTIVATIONS are identified.

Lessons always begin by talking to the student about their musical interests and experience. Whether the student is a complete beginner or an advanced drummer, Adam's method of teaching will always favour achieving the student's goals with the aid of the music that they are interested in and inspired by, whilst incorporating work on the following elements:

- Technique
- Time feel/time signatures


- Rhythmic concepts
- Improvisation
- Sight-reading
- Music theory
- Grooves/styles of music (eg, pop/rock/jazz/funk/hip-hop)

The aim for Adam's students is to gain a sense of achievement from acomplishing all these skills whilst learning how to play along to their favourite bands and music. If the student wishes, Adam is equally happy to teach any grade syllabus, and has had experience with ROCKSCHOOL, TRINITY AND TRINITY ROCK & POP. Adam takes a lot of pride in that to date, 100% of his students entered into exams have passed, with either a MERIT or a DISTINCTION
