Our two weeks dedicated to science have come to an end, and what an experience it was! From engaging lessons on adaptation and change, to exploring fair testing in classrooms and sharing results with peers, the children embraced every moment with enthusiasm.

A favourite among students and teachers alike were the lunchtime experiments led by our amazing teaching team. Some children were so inspired, they took the initiative to carry out their own experiments during their free time.

This has been an incredible celebration of scientific discovery, and we’re already looking forward to next year’s adventure. 💥🔬🧲🧪

What an incredible week we've had celebrating the magic of books! ✨

Each class took part in an engaging, author-focused workshop, and we also launched the much-loved Read-a-thon. 📈📚

The excitement peaked on World Book Day, with children arriving dressed up as their favourite book characters and immersing themselves in a day full of fun activities - including a live show from Michael Rosen! 🎭

January kept us so busy we didn't even realise how long it was! From field trips to musical guests, it's been a fantastic start to the year.

A special thank you to Etienne Sibille Spectacles musicaux pour enfants for the fantastic and engaging show teaching our students about instruments from around the world. 🪇🪘🪕

A big thank you to our Year 5/6 class for raising awareness across the school about Christmas Jumper Day on 12th December. Your enthusiasm and leadership are inspiring us all to get into the festive spirit while supporting a great cause.🎄🎁

We're raising funds for the Queen's Crescent Community Association, an organisation making a real difference in our local community.

We hope everyone had a restful half term. It was a busy start to the school year, filled with exciting trips and learning experiences. Here’s a look back at some of our adventures from the first half of term! Year 2 visited Regent's Park to see the Frieze Sculpture exhibition, year 4 visited The Tower of London and Years 5 and 6 visited Little Hands Design to work on sustainable projects with recycled materials and developed their sewing skills while doing so.

It has been wonderful to welcome our children back to school and to watch them growing into school life as the week has gone on.
We are looking forward to another exciting and productive year together and wish everyone an excellent school year 2024-2025🙂

Les Y5/Y6 (CM1/CM2) sont allés visiter “House of Parliament”.Nous avons passé une très bonne matinée. Dans un premier temps, les enfants ont visité le bâtiment, l'entrée royale, la "House of Lords" ainsi que la "House of Commons". Malheureusement, aucune photo n'était autorisée dans ces lieux magnifiques. Ensuite, les enfants se sont mis dans la peau des parlementaires, pour effectuer un débat sur une loi qui interdirait l'usage du pétrole. Ils ont bien su manier l'art de la rhétorique.

En mai, les Y5/Y6 sont partis 4 jours dans le Surrey, à “PGL”. Ils ont pu réaliser de nombreuses activités: tir à l’arc, descente en rappel, course d’orientation, tyrolienne, construction de radeaux, balançoire géante, randonnée, soirée feu de camp…
Ils se sont vraiment bien amusés, surtout que le beau temps était au rendez-vous !

This week marks our "Printemps des poètes" recital week, and we couldn't be more thrilled! ✨ All the pupils from Y2 to Y6 poured their hearts into crafting poems about "beauty" or "bravery" last week.
Today, they'll bravely step forward to declaim their creations in front of their peers, and yesterday's performances were absolutely fabulous!

🔬🚀✨ What a stellar start to our Science Week! 🌟 Monday was positively buzzing with excitement! 🎉 We dove right into some egg-citing experiments 🥚, dipping eggs in vinegar, Coca-Cola, and water! 💧 The kids' predictions were fascinating, and we were absolutely amazed by the results! 🤯

But hold onto your goggles, there's more scientific fun to come! 🤩 We embarked on three incredible experiments: creating dancing doodles 🖍️, witnessing the electrifying power of static electricity with balloons ⚡, and even crafting our very own thaumatrope! 🌀

And guess what? This is just the beginning of our scientific journey! 🚀🔍 Stay tuned for more awe-inspiring experiments and discoveries! 🌌✨ 🚀
