☀️The ESCP London Campus is on holiday from 5pm today until 9am on 10th August. All our staff are having a well-deserved break after an incredible year! ☀️

Many of us will be back at our computers on 10th August, but the campus building itself will remain closed until 17th August while we get it ready for all the new students we will welcome in September.

We're really happy that London has been ranked 3rd worldwide in the QS Top Universities Best Student Cities 2027!

QS look at a range of criteria to decide their 20 best cities for students each year, with factors ranging from inclusivity and international student population, to safety, pollution, cost of living, sustainability and employment markets.

With Seoul and Tokyo taking the two top spots, this means London is the top choice in Europe. We're not surprised - we love this city - and we're excited to welcome hundreds of new students in autumn to find out why the UK's capital is such a special place to live, love, work, and study.

Welcome to our new Dean, Prof. Thomas Jeanjean! We look forward to welcoming you to our London campus.

The Board of Directors of ESCP Business School has appointed Professor Thomas Jeanjean as Executive President and Dean of the School, effective 24 August 2026.

This appointment marks a new chapter in ESCP's development. It reflects the Board's commitment to building on the momentum achieved in recent years, further strengthening the School's academic excellence and consolidating its position among the world's leading institutions for management education.

A highly respected leader in higher education, Professor Thomas Jeanjean brings more than twenty years of experience within some of France's leading academic institutions. A graduate of École normale supérieure Paris-Saclay, holder of the agrégation in Economics and Management and a PhD from Université Paris Dauphine, he began his career as Professor of Accounting at HEC Paris before joining ESSEC Business School, where he went on to hold several senior leadership positions, including Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Dean of Post-Experience Programmes and Executive Education. His career combines academic excellence, extensive leadership experience in higher education and a proven track record in leading institutional transformation.

As Executive President and Dean of ESCP Business School, he will continue the implementation of Bold & United in cooperation with the ESCP Foundation and ESCP Alumni, with a clear ambition: to strengthen research excellence, oversee the launch of the School of Technology and the School of Governance, and further enhance the international reach of ESCP's unique multicampus model.

On behalf of the entire ESCP community, we wish him every success in his new role.

The FIFA Men’s World Cup is over, and we’re super happy to say ¡Felicidades, España! to the very deserving winners. But what can we learn from the last five and a half weeks?

Whether you’re about to start your student journey at ESCP or you’re already well into your career, there are lessons for everyone…

Be open to new cultural experiences. While football is a huge part of life for co-host Mexico and somewhat popular in Canada, for the USA it was far more of an unknown. For the curious who embraced the tournament for the first time, it opened a whole new world of sport to enjoy - not to mention the cultural connections from hosting fans!

Be sure to step out of your comfort zone when you can, because the unknown may become the best discovery of your life!

Norway qualified for the first time in 28 years and made it all the way to the Quarter Finals. It’s amazing what you can achieve when you have belief, faith and support. Ro! Ro! Ro!

But success is NEVER just about merit. The World Cup reminds us that not every team starts from the same place. Countries compete with vastly different histories, resources, and opportunities. The same is true in education and professional life. Recognising unequal starting points should not diminish achievement - it should encourage empathy, humility, and a commitment to creating fairer opportunities for everyone.

But Cabo Verde reminds us that even on an unequal playing field, anything is possible.

After every match, the Japanese fans picked up all the rubbish around the stadium seating. Whether it’s on the micro level (doing the same after class or in the student lounge) or the macro (your environmental impact as you go through life), be more Japanese.

Rules should apply equally to everyone. The controversy surrounding political intervention in a FIFA disciplinary decision is a reminder that institutions earn trust when they are seen as fair and independent. Whether in sport, business, or academia, credibility depends on decisions being based on principles rather than influence.

And if you find yourself in an unfair situation, try to approach it with resilience.

Celebrate milestones until you reach your goal. Th
