City & Guilds Lion Awards

City & Guilds Lion Awards The annual Lion Awards aims to reward talented educational professionals and students who display exceptional standards.

As the UK’s leading vocational education organisation, City & Guilds wants to inspire people to believe in themselves and unlock their potential. We believe learning has no limits, and that’s why it’s important to celebrate outstanding achievements. For over 100 years, we have run the annual City & Guilds Medals for Excellence programme to recognise success amongst our learners and tutors. This culminates in the Lion Awards – City & Guilds most prestigious awards ceremony – which acknowledges the best of the best. This year’s Lion Awards will be celebrated at a glamorous red-carpet ceremony on Wednesday 5 June 2013 at the Roundhouse in London. This year over 80 people have been awarded a Medal for Excellence. As well as being considered for a Lion Award, each of them is eligible to enter our People's Choice Award, in which Medal Winners, their nominators, colleagues and friends can vote for them to be recognised with a special award at the Lion Awards.UK medal winners will be a part of the Lion Awards ceremony, International will have their local ceremonies and they are to contact their local office for more information.
