Learning To Receive Correction.

STOP BEING DEFENSIVE!

A teachable heart is not a weak heart.

“\Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but he who hates reproof is stupid.” - Proverbs 12:1

Correction rarely feels good in the moment.

Even when it’s gentle. Even when it’s true.
Even when it comes from someone who loves us.

Something in us can tighten up the second we feel exposed.
We want to explain, defend, clarify, or tell the other side of the story.

I see myself in this. Hmm!!!

I get that.

Nobody enjoys feeling like they got it wrong.
But one of the marks of maturity is learning to receive correction without immediately treating it like an attack.

Not every criticism is wise or fair. But if we reject every correction because it stings, we may miss something God wants to use to grow us.

It takes strength to pause before defending yourself.

It takes humility to ask, Is there truth here?

It takes courage to admit, I may need to change.

As men, we can be tempted to protect an image of competence. We want to be seen as capable, steady, strong, and right.
But Jesus never calls us to protect an image.
He calls us to become whole. And wholeness often requires correction.

The friend who tells us we’ve been distant.

The spouse who names a pattern we keep avoiding.

The child who reveals how our tone is affecting them.

The trusted mentor who sees where we’re drifting before we do.

These moments may sting, but they can also become gifts.
Not because correction feels good, but because God can use it to make us more like Christ.

Where do you tend to get defensive when someone corrects you?

Is there a trusted voice you may need to listen to more carefully?

What would it look like to receive correction as an invitation to growth instead of a threat to your worth?

You are holding the Pen of your life….

What are you going to write or what are you writing?🤷‍♂️

What meaning are you giving to your life currently?

Now listen my friend,

We wait for life to hand us purpose, as if it is waiting around the corner to be found.
But the truth is much colder, and far more empowering.
Your existence has no default setting of significance.

CRITICS! CRITICS! CRITICS!

What about them?

What should your attitude be towards your critics?

Should you react or cleverly respond in a positive manner?

Or just ignore outrightly?

There are positive ones and toxic ones.

Do you have critics?

Bet you do.🤔

We all do and they are part of the game plan so embrace them positively learn with an open mind and move forward.

If you are going to be a great difference maker in 2026 you are going to experience many critics and how you respond (not react) to each one will go a long way to influence your outcomes.

Engage the right attitude to your critics and it shall be well with you going forward.

Hear what God has to say to you-

Moments Of Your Life.

Your life is made up in of moments.

It is indeed a culmination of special moments that you did not pay enough attention to.

The significant and not so significant moments.

It all adds up to whom you have become and becoming.

Every moment of your life counts. Good or bad.

All are adding up, so give it the attention and credibility it deserves.

Your Disaspointment May Just Be. Template For Your Breakthrough.

Yes that’s exactly true.

You don’t believe me ?

Now listen my friend, your regrettable posture and feelings of failure, shame, sadness and uncertainty of what the future holds won’t cut it for you.

Yes there is a period to express emotional upset, sadness and even bitterness with many questions yet unanswered.

However, you must snap out of that depressive state so that the devil doesn’t take advantage of it to keep you there in a state of despair and hopelessness.

Your disappointment is raw material for God’s miraculous intervention and breakthrough.

Learn to trust Him to turn your sorrows into dancing.

And turn your captivity around for good.

However, you must change the posture of your mindset to allow His devine intervention.

God can turn your failure into your fulfilment.

You are born for victory and so He is able to turn captivity around for your victory and His Glory.

So cheer up my friend and snap out of that pity party and victim mentality and live your life like He wants you to in total absolute Victory.

Now, here is a powerful prayer for you as you proceed into this coming weekend and challenge the lie of the devil.

Seek and take your Victory in Christ.

Thank God you are alive today.

“If God ushered you into a new day, then there is still hope for you.

Please don't spend today sad, angry, or complaining about everything you're going through.
Be confident that God is not done with your life.
The very fact that He woke you up this morning is a reminder that your story is still unfolding.

Don't let the disappointments of yesterday rob you of the joy of today.
Don't let yesterday's setbacks convince you that today is not worth living.
Don't let yesterday's betrayals stop you from trusting again.
Don't let the pain you carried through the night prevent you from receiving the beauty, the mercy, and the opportunities God has prepared for you today.

The Bible says in Psalms 30:5, "Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning."

Friend, this is your morning.

Whatever happened yesterday, leave it there.
Whatever God has prepared for today, receive it with gratitude.

For the rest of this day, choose gratitude over complaints, hope over fear, and faith over discouragement.

Here I Am!

Only by His Grace.

What a privilege and honour to be alive at this season and moment of life.

“My strength is made perfect in my weakness.” 2Cor 12:9

Another Year Of Grace - 2026 🎂

Another year of uncommon opportunities.

What an amazing God and Father.

Today, I by His Grace mark a unique milestone.

The height of perfection.

Another year older, better and wiser.

I am overwhelmed with Gratitude for being alive today.

An attitude of Gratitude.🙏🏾

Not only alive but above all well and healthy and content.

My God has been good to me inspite of it all.

A lifetime of struggle, challenges and overwhelming victories and achievements.

My life has not gone without it’s share of ups and down but above it all I am grateful to Him who has kept watch over me till this moment.

I don’t have it all but I have the most important and priceless thing - A life in Christ with His Holy Spirit of Peace and breath of life.

“Teach me to number my days so I may apply wisdom “ Psalm 90:12

I am by no means finished yet but I press forward with all intentions to the mark of higher calling in Christ to fulfill my purpose and impact my generation. Phillipians 3:14

So on a reflective mode I re- present myself to His service to serve humanity with purposeful clarity and precision and dedication.

At this stage and season of my life and at this moment I am getting my mind renewed with humility, to be teachable, growing, maturing, enduring, focused, committed with renewed energy and above all wiser.

I am being transformed by the renewal of my mind. Rom12:2

Above all I seek the peace of God which passes all human understanding in all my endeavours going forward.

So help me God.

Pray for me Holy Spirit on my birthday.
