BALI YOGA RETREAT PEOPLE ❤️
Beautiful places are important.
Great yoga is important.
The food, accommodation, adventures and little details all matter.
But after years of running yoga retreats, I’ve realised that one thing matters more than almost anything else.
The people.
This beautiful crown I’m wearing was our Bali family. ❤️
We practised yoga and meditation together. We climbed a mountain. We explored temples, rice terraces and beaches. We shared meals, ceremonies, adventures and plenty of laughter.
Most people arrive on retreat not knowing everyone else. Some don’t know anyone at all.
Then something lovely happens.
Names become familiar. Conversations get deeper. People relax. Friendships form. And before you know it, you’re sharing experiences with people who were complete strangers just a few days earlier.
That’s the magic I can never put on the retreat itinerary.
And probably the part I love the most. 🙏❤️

YOGA RETREAT BALI ADVENTURES 🌴
A yoga retreat is about so much more than time on the mat.
Some of my favourite memories from our Bali retreat were simply getting out and experiencing this incredible island together.
Walking through lush rice terraces, exploring beautiful beaches, travelling around the island together and getting up in the darkness to climb Mount Batur for an unforgettable sunrise.
There were plenty of early mornings, tired legs, spontaneous moments and a lot of laughter along the way.
For me, this is what makes a retreat special. Yoga and meditation give us the foundation, but then we step outside, explore, experience and enjoy life together.
Yoga. Nature. Adventure. Connection.
And Bali gave us plenty of all four. 🌴☀️🙏

Gong Master Training with the incredible Ruslan Ocean 🙏
Exploring the power of vibration, resonance, rhythm and deep meditative sound has been one of the most transformative experiences I have had in years. The gong is far more than an instrument. It feels like a living ocean of sound that can move through the body, calm the nervous system and open space for deep inner stillness.
So much of yoga is about tuning the body and mind into harmony, and this training is giving me a whole new understanding of sound as medicine, meditation and energy.
Huge gratitude to Ruslan Ocean for sharing his wisdom, presence and mastery so generously. Every session feels like a journey through the cosmos 🌍✨
Excited to bring more gong baths, sound journeys and powerful meditative experiences into future classes, workshops and retreats.
The learning never stops 🙏

trust (never worry)
Or at least, don’t focus on the issues. Many apparent problems have to happen for bigger things to happen.
Last week my day started with unseasonal monsoon rain. Proper Bali downpour. I had a 30 minute motorbike ride to my next Bali beach homestay and the night before booked a yoga class in an iconic shala. So had to go.
The day before I listened to that quiet feeling in my body and bought a waterproof rain jacket and trousers. So grateful I listened 🙏
I arrived for my yoga class very awake and thought the bad day part was over.
My ageing motorbike key, had been falling apart since I hired the bike. My fixing mind always working ways to repair it, or maybe manifesting a solution. For now a tightly bound elastic band did the job enough to use it.
The week before I bought some £2.50 Bali bargain shorts. They developed a hole in the pocket on their 2nd wear… so bike keys were lost, somewhere between my bike and my yoga class (Never found).
For a moment, it looks like the day was falling apart. So, I breathed, reported my lost key to reception and calmly had my breakfast…
A kind car park attendant offered me help to call a locksmith. Balinese people are sooo lovely.
Waiting for his quote I walked to my new homestay to drop my bag. By the time I checked in, the lock had been changed and new key ready. For £8.50 including new lock, key and emergency call out fee.
Today I went to yoga, ready to explain the lost pass… and they hand me a new one with no charge.
Proverb for the day:
Don’t be too quick to call something a problem.
Just trust... the universe is moving to help you.
But be careful what you think and say 🙏

There is something quietly powerful about Lempuyang Temple… even with the full tourist treadmill in motion.
I waited close to an hour for this moment… and then had about a minute for five poses.
In that time, it became less about the photo and more about watching people. The nerves, the excitement, the creativity. Some went full yoga, some went dramatic, some just stood still and didn’t know what to do. I love people watching… it says so much 🙃
Behind it all, the real presence never moves. Mount Agung rising quietly in the background, steady and ancient. A reminder that this place is not just a photo spot… it is a living, breathing temple.
I turned up in my best trousers thinking I was prepared… only to be wrapped in a sarong on arrival, and rightly so. Every temple in Bali asks the same, and it shifts your energy from tourist to respectful visitor straight away.
A beautiful contrast really…
Sacred ritual and social media moment, side by side. And in the vast gap between… you find your own experience of it.

Still buzzing with joy after Holi in Rishikesh 🎨🌸
Completely covered in colour, laughing like a child, and feeling the pure joy that fills the streets of India during this incredible festival. Holi is not something you watch, you step into it, and become the celebration.
Strangers become friends in seconds. Everyone smiling, dancing, and throwing vibrant colour; pink, purple, yellow, blue and green everywhere. There is music, laughter, and a beautiful sense that for one day the world remembers how to be joyful.
The funny thing is that the day after Holi you can still see it everywhere. People walk through the streets still wearing the more permanent colours. Even after three showers some of the paint refuses to disappear, leaving bright reminders of the celebration.
Holi has a way of dissolving the past and bringing people together. It reminds us that underneath everything we are all just human beings celebrating this brief and beautiful life.
Life is meant to be lived with openness, forgiveness and a playful heart. Sending you colour, laughter and love 🙏

Opening ceremony for another 300 hour yoga teacher training with Dinesh’s Om Shanti Om Yoga. A deeply special beginning, held in mantra, presence and shared intention.
There is something powerful about these first moments. The coming together of people from different paths, united by a quiet calling to go deeper. The vibration of mantra filled the space, soft yet strong, opening the heart and creating a sense of unity that words cannot fully describe.
These ceremonies remind us that yoga is not just something we practise. It is something we live, something we listen to, and something that gently transforms us from within.
Grateful to witness and be part of this journey.
Om Shanti Om 🙏
