You walked, we delivered ✅
Last June, hundreds of Theirworld supporters took part in , taking thousands of steps to raise vital funds for children in Ukraine.
Now, as Ukraine marks the third anniversary of the full-scale invasion, we’re proud to share an incredible update: 500 laptops have been delivered to frontline schools and underground shelters, helping over 21,000 students continue their education.
One of the students who will benefit is Ivan, who studies at an underground classroom near the frontlines.
Before the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Ivan went to school every day without fear. Now he's forced to study in a makeshift underground shelter near the frontline, with the constant threat of attack.
For students like Ivan, these laptops are more than just devices—they are a lifeline to learning. With access to a laptop, Ivan can now sit the National Multi-Subject Test (NMT)—a crucial step towards university and future careers.
In Ivan’s own words: “Access to this laptop allows me to prepare for the test every day in a safe environment.”
So from Ivan and everyone here at Theirworld, we want to say a huge thank you. Through our partnership with Ukraine’s Ministry of Education and Science (Міністерство освіти і науки України) Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, and Olena Zelenska Foundation / Фундація Олени Зеленської , we’ve helped young people in Ukraine reclaim their right to education—one laptop at a time.
Education is for everyone. When we provide children with disabilities with a quality education, we see the incredible impact, like...
🏡 Reducing the likelihood of children with disabilities' households living in poverty
📈 Helping children achieve higher maths and reading scores, and increased employment opportunities
🎓 Improving their chances of earning a vocational or academic credential
🍎 Lowering crime rates and improving health and family planning
📚 Helping students without disabilities learn better, too!
Disability is the most significant barrier to quality education. Join us on our mission to resolve this.
🚨 Gaza’s Youngest Victims in Crisis 🚨
Over 570,000 children, mothers, and pregnant women in Gaza are facing a catastrophic early childhood development crisis:
❌ thousands of pregnant women and young children without access to essential care
❌ 85% of parents report their children go entire days without food
❌70,000 children without access to crucial early learning
💔 This is a tipping point for an entire generation. Without immediate action, the long-term impact on their health and future is unimaginable.
📢 NEW REPORT OUT NOW
Theirworld’s latest report, "Early Childhood Development in Gaza: A Blueprint and Urgent Call for Action" written by Maysa Jalbout outlines a bold plan to create a coalition to protect Gaza’s youngest:
✅ Emergency hubs for healthcare, nutrition, and learning
✅ Rebuilding systems for lasting recovery
The report is part of Theirworld’s wider regional response to support the development, learning and education needs of children in several countries affected by crises in the Middle East.
👶 The time to act is now. Together, we can give Gaza’s children a chance at life and a brighter future.
