In this Week 2 lesson, we look at how a straightforward trading setup can be built using only a few key areas of technical analysis.
The example is kept intentionally simple, allowing us to focus on the reasoning behind the setup rather than adding unnecessary indicators or making the chart overly complicated.
We work through the process of identifying the overall market direction, finding a potential area of interest and waiting for price action to provide confirmation. From there, we consider where an entry could be placed, what would invalidate the setup and how a suitable profit target could be identified.
This is a theoretical example designed to introduce the structure of a complete trade idea before additional tools and more advanced forms of analysis are introduced later in the course.
