..and so many other creative, nutritious treats!
We are incredibly proud to have such world-class talent fueling our students and community every day. Thank you for representing the Dwight spirit so brilliantly, Chef Lee! We can't wait to see (and taste!) these concepts in action.

Have you read the latest Global Visions newsletter?
This newsletter rounds up stories from across the Dwight network, helping us keep in touch with our global community.
This edition is a Sparkathon special, focusing on the results of the recent innovation competition. Nearly 100 students across the Dwight-Franklin Network of schools competed in 30 different teams. Students brainstormed, prototyped, and pitched game-changing ideas, and four judges from the renowned Villars Institute assessed the projects. They were quite impressed with what our students created.
Check out the newsletter to watch videos of the bustling creative sessions that happened over that week, and learn a little about all of the projects that were developed β including Londonβs very own Aby and Maleha, whose project won Best Social Impact!

Congratulations to our Year 8 and 9 students who represented Dwight at the North London STEM Competition at Middlesex University!
Working in mixed-school teams, students designed electric vehicles, programmed robots, undertook medical diagnostics, and completed an e-fit challenge (featuring Ms Halsall as a mystery criminal!).
Against a field of approximately 24 teams in each challenge, we were thrilled to see our Dwight students place highly across the board. Special congratulations go to Jodi and Ruby who came first place in the E-Fit Challenge, Liam and Elena who were runners up in the Robotics Challenge, and Lahn and Anna who were runners up in the E-Vehicle Challenge.
We are super proud of all our students who all displayed fantastic collaboration and critical thinking - attributes increasingly considered essential by universities and employers for future study and work.

In Pre-Reception, we have loved spending time outdoors in both the sunshine and the rain. The children helped prepare our garden by digging weeds, watering the dry soil and planting beautiful flowers together.
We enjoyed reading The Fish Who Could Wish and the children became very confident retelling parts of the story and predicting what might happen next.
The children also explored painting and drawing on clipboards on the floor before carefully creating watercolour paintings of hyacinths and tulips. Later in the week, we revisited these colours through a lovely sensory playdough activity.

Year 5 began learning fire skills using fire steels and exploring the fire triangle, while Year 7 developed their teamwork and resilience by building and maintaining their own fires before toasting marshmallows.
