Just dropping in to let you know about my music lessons.

I'm a musician based in Queens Park and I have over 15 years experience gigging and touring with many bands as well as writing and recording.

My approach to teaching is one that revolves around using your ear to inform your playing. To essentially train your ability to quickly work out and play any piece of music just by listening. This I believe is the essential skill of musicianship as it basically enables you to do whatever you can imagine. I’ll teach you to play whatever you want as well as help you to understand the amazing and relatively simple system underpinning all music. Not only will you learn to play really well but you’ll hear music in a whole new way.

I charge £35 per hour long lesson and I teach out of my flat in Queen’s Park where I have a large selection of guitars and equipment. I can also travel to you but will charge for my time at a rate of £15/h. As of 2019 I am offering remote lessons via Skype at the discounted rates of £30 and £20 for lessons of 1 hour and 30 mins respectively.

Maybe you had lessons as a child and didn’t connect with the stuffy academic method of teaching and so gave up like so many others. Maybe you’ve never so much as hummed a note but always wondered what it might be like to give music a shot.

Whatever the case may be, I’m offering you the chance to find out for less than the price of dinner with my £15 first lesson introductory offer.

I am a 28 year old musician living in Queens Park with many years experience performing with bands and artists spanning a whole range of genres. I am also a songwriter and music producer and have my own home studio.

I am currently offering guitar, piano and general music lessons. I consider my approach to teaching unique and effective. Through the teaching of songs, I will gradually introduce you to the elements of music. You'll learn all about chords, melody, technique, tone and styles while simultaneously training you ear to become more aware of all these details while listening. The result: You'll never hear music in the same way again.
