🎶 Our Tea Concerts are a wonderful celebration of the progress our individual music lesson pupils make throughout the year 🎻🎹🎤

At Devonshire House, pupils can have one-to-one lessons with specialist peripatetic teachers, from experienced instrumental teachers and professional performers to accomplished singers and musicians.

These lessons give children the opportunity to develop their skills at their own pace and then share their music with an audience. From Tea Concerts to voluntary performances at Friday Assemblies, there are plenty of opportunities to build confidence and enjoy performing ✨

A key part of our early literacy success is the implementation of the Read Write Inc. programme from Nursery to Year 2. Combined with outstanding teaching and a consistent whole-school approach, the programme provides children with the strong foundations they need to become confident, fluent readers. "Toilet training is often viewed as a dreaded milestone, something practical parents try to “get through” as quickly (and cleanly!) as possible. However, much like all of our learning in the nursery, it is actually a rich and meaningful experience that can support a child’s developing sense of independence, body awareness, and self-confidence. Over my years of working with families, I have seen how this process can be both empowering and challenging, not only for children, but for the adults supporting them..."

Summer Term revisited...

At their end of Summer Term Teddy Bear's Picnic, Nursery Acorns children celebrated the end of the year by bringing in their parents, a favourite cuddly toy and... running around in the sunshine! 🧸 🌞

Very sweetly, the children presented their teachers with lovely bunches of flowers - a lovely gesture💐 🙏

Summer Term revisited...

Lovely performances from Nursery Oaks and Reception children who acted and sang for parents at their Summer Term end of term concerts.

Well done to all of them - so much talent and such courage to stand up in front of packed houses for both concerts! 👏👏 🎶🎤🎭

⚽️ At Devonshire House, our partnership with Tottenham Hotspur Football Club brings professional coaching and new opportunities directly into school life!

In this video, Coach Sunny Sturgess shares how the programme supports our pupils’ football development, from building fundamental skills at a young age to understanding the game and developing their individual abilities.

The partnership also gives pupils the opportunity to visit the Tottenham Hotspur training ground, experience coaching from the club’s Global Football Development coaches and, for talented young players, explore potential pathways into the next stage of their football journey.

It’s about much more than football, it’s about giving children opportunities to develop, challenge themselves and discover what they can achieve.

Summer Term revisited...

What a fantastic Year 3 to Year 8 sports day we had last month at StoneX Stadium Saracens! Huge cheers and many congratulations to all who took part. 🎉✨

From long jump to javelin, egg and spoon races to track events, the day was filled with so much sporting endeavour and brilliant performances from the girls and boys. We salute them! 👏🏅👏 ☀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Yesterday's eclipse as - rather fuzzily! - seen by the amateur astronomers of the Devonshire House Admissions office!

We hope that lots of Devonshire House pupils were able to observe this wonderful once-in-a-lifetime event and, despite it not being a total eclipse, experience the beautiful, eerie light when the eclipse was at its maximum. 🌞🌙💫 🔭
