Happy Birthday, Sir David! ๐ฅณ
To celebrate a century of inspiration, the students at Maida Vale School traded their textbooks for whisks to honor Sir David Attenboroughโs 100th birthday! ๐โจ
Our community came together for a massive bake sale, raising vital funds for the World Land Trust. From cupcake to show-stopping treats, every bite helped support the habitats Sir David has spent his life protecting. ๐ฆ๐
Happy 100th Birthday, Sir David Attenborough! Thank you for teaching us to love and protect our blue planet. ๐๐

๐โ๏ธ Geneva 2026 โ what a trip!
As part of our โMVS Cultural Capital Dayโ celebrations, our Sixth Form Science & Politics students headed to Geneva for 3 unforgettable days of exploration, discovery, and inspiration.
From stepping inside world-leading institutions to experiencing the beauty of the city, students immersed themselves in a range of future career pathways through hands-on, interactive experiences. Highlights included visits to CERN, the United Nations, the Red Cross Museum, the Museum of Science History, and the Botanic Gardens ๐ฟ
We also took in the stunning views on a boat trip across Lake Geneva ๐ค and enjoyed time exploring the city (with plenty of French practice along the way ๐ซ๐ท).
A flight delay even turned into an unexpected opportunityโstudents got a behind-the-scenes look at the cockpit and a chance to chat with the pilot about life in the skies ๐จโโ๏ธ
A huge well done to our Sixth Form Geneva Committee, who helped bring this trip to life from the very beginning and led the group brilliantly throughout the 3 days ๐
๐ฅ Very special thanks to Devan for helping create this fantastic video diary of the trip!
The MVS Spring Concert was an incredible celebration of music across the school โ full of energy, talent, and unforgettable moments. ๐ถโจ
From the very first notes, the choir set the tone with Here Comes the Sun โ๏ธ, perfectly welcoming the season, alongside a beautiful solo from Karolina L. The stage then came alive with an amazing mix of styles โ from the confident Year 11 bands taking on Sultans of Swing and Hendrix, to Year 10โs Radiohead set, and a punchy Year 8 performance of Someday.
We also loved the quieter, more intimate moments โ stunning solos from Lavinia C, Simona, and Dylan N, plus a standout piano duet from Katya and Clementine ๐น
A truly special highlight was the Billie Eilish arrangement for flute, piano, and violin (featured in this video), performed so beautifully by Jay A, Dylan N, and Emilia S. ๐ซ
And of course, the night wouldnโt be complete without our rock band, with Chloe bringing incredible energy to close both halves ๐ฅ
So proud of everyone involved โ what a showcase of the talent and creativity thriving in our school! ๐
Happy Easter from everyone at Maida Vale School! ๐ฐ๐ฃ๐
