The GDL is the conversion course for non-law graduates, giving you the fundamental legal knowledge and professional skills you need to succeed in your future career as a solicitor or barrister.

Your studies will begin with an introduction to the English Legal System, followed by seven foundation modules, each focusing on a key area of law.

Immigration to the United Kingdom via education

College and Universities’ graduates could stay in the UK for 2 years in order to find a work place, PhD alumni in their turn could stay up for 3 years.

Graduate route visa requirements:

✅ You are in the UK

✅ You have Student visa or Tier 4 (General) Student visa

✅ You studied Bachelor, Master or PhD programme

✅ You have an official letter of successful course accomplishment from the University

There is no need to wait the graduation, you should apply before your Student visa or Tier 4 (General) student visa expires.

The visa application submits online.

After application submission, you will need to verify your identity and provide documents.

The decision on the visa is ready within 8 weeks.

In order to apply for a graduate visa you must:

· pay the registration fee, which currently is £700

· pay the medical insurance fees– today it is £624 for each year of stay in the UK.

You do not need an invitation letter from the employer for this visa - it is NOT required, you can search for a job during the entire period.

The only one restriction on this type of visa is that you cannot be self-employed.

Obtaining Graduate route visa in the future will simplify getting a Skilled Worker work visa that leads to a permanent residence and citizenship.

On-campus accommodation (university residences)

UK university residences offer a unique vibe and experience along with pretty comfortable housing conditions.

Plus student residences are located on university grounds thus enjoying its wide range of amenities (sport facilities, parks, libraries, etc).

Some does not allow bringing guests to your room or to the campus at all, others impose a night-time curfew. They usually forbid students to smoke and drink alcohol, listen to loud music, keep animals, etc.

4. Self-catering, if your residence doesn’t have its own dining hall.
