Why do advanced dancers keep going back to the fundamentals?

Our Integral Tango teacher, Daniel Gini Daniel Gini, takes this up in a short blog post. He explains why the walk, the change of weight and the ochos are not the beginner part we pass through on the way to learning tango. They are the tango.

It is a lovely piece of thinking, and it speaks to dancers at every level.

You can read it right here:

https://tangointegral.com/post/fundamentals-are-not-basics

Some fundamentals cannot be taught to a beginner — not because they are complicated, but because a beginner cannot perceive them yet.

Our classes are getting busy 🥰

More people, more connections, new faces meeting on the floor every time — and honestly, we’re loving every moment of it.

We’re back teaching on Saturday 5 September, in our beautiful new home: a warm, central space inside a lovely hotel.

We dance, meet new people, and when the class ends, we stay for milonga Paciencia and let the evening unfold 💗💗

Twice a month on one beautiful floor.
