Last Friday some of our students visited the National Army Museum, where they had the opportunity to discuss art alongside students from four other schools. They spent the day; analysing artwork, creating group presentations, and delivering them to the public at the museum.
Our students also achieved first place for their literacy and use of specialist vocabularyππ§βπ¨

Over the weekend, some of our Sixth Form students had the incredible opportunity to attend the Womenβs Rugby World Cup Final at Twickenham and what a match it was.
They witnessed England crowned world champions in front of a packed home crowd. The atmosphere was electric, the rugby was world class, and it was a brilliant celebration of womenβs sport at the highest level.
Experiences like this go beyond sport. They inspire ambition, build confidence and broaden horizons. We are proud of our students for embracing the opportunity and representing the school so well.
Congratulations to England!

A massive well done to Charlie, who achieved eight grade 9 GCSE results! π
Charlie said "At CoLA, our classrooms become like a community. In Latin, the class consistently helped each other to learn, revise and construct a positive and uplifting atmosphere in the classroom. This consequently led to the success we saw today as over 80% of Latin students achieved a Grade 9. Great lessons, accompanied by the aspirational Oxbridge pathway at my school has allowed many students to excel in their results and future potential. CoLA Southwark is one of the few non-selective state secondary schools in the country to offer GCSE and now A-Level Latin and I, like my peers, look forward to applying to study Classics at Cambridge in due course."
