The J-Soc of the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London (SOAS) shares Jewish culture, religion and values through the celebration of chaggim and Shabbat, as well as, through the organization of cultural events and regular meetings. The SOAS J-Soc also provides assistance to Jewish students and recognizes its responsibility in preventing antisemitism on campus. The SOAS J-Soc
regularly hosts events such as Friday night dinners on campus, movie screening, talks, discussions, and organizes study groups and excursions to Jewish events around London. Campus Notes:
The main SOAS campus at Russell Square is placed centrally in the Bloomsbury area of London. There is always something going on: an event, a film screening, a talk, a music performance, or a party. You will never run out of interesting things to do at SOAS! Kosher Food & Accommodation:
There are kosher sandwiches available in the SOAS Student Union Shop, and there is always a vegetarian and fish option available on campus. The nearest kosher accommodation is at the residential Hillel House in Golders Green. Local Synagogue Information:
