Today we took our 'nature' playdough to the park, using natural materials to design and decorate. Lots of pulling, prodding, creativity, and fun!

We read Commotion in the ocean, looked at various sea creatures and made our own octopus craft.
The shark biting our fingers was the highlight of the day! 🦈🦑🐙🦀🐡🐠🐟

This week we released the butterflies. We were able to hold them before they flew away to explore their new environment. 🦋

This week we have been finding out all about bees 🐝
Bees are amazing creatures. Not only do they make tasty honey, but they are also involved in pollinating lots of our food and wild flowers.
As they look out for us, we need to make sure we help protect them too.

Our caterpillars have grown rapidly and we have enjoyed watching their process.
This week we have looked at their life cycle and have concentrated our activities around The hungry caterpillar. 🐛🦋

Mini eggs of all colours and brands are lining the supermarket shelves. But, did you know that they are the perfect size to block a small child’s airway and choke them? And, their hard shell can make it difficult to dislodge with standard first aid techniques.

That’s why they carry a safety warning that they aren’t recommended for children under 4.

So, when you’re stocking up for the Easter Bunny please stay safe and choose another treat for your little one.
