On this day in 2022, the procession of Queen Elizabeth II's coffin took place from Buckingham Palace to the Palace of Westminster. Queues of 2.4 miles formed with people wanting to pay their respects.

Thank you especially to our Programme committee and all the speakers who came together today on our second day of the conference to inform our delegates about their work. What a varied selection of talks and presentations for all attendees from amateurs to professionals and all in between.

We are delighted to share with you the GeoFutures Report, which is available on our GeoViz portal. The report captures the discussions, ideas and outcomes from our GeoFutures Workshop held at Trinity House in March and sets out an ambitious roadmap for how the British Cartographic Society can help shape the future of geospatial visualisation over the coming years.

We are now looking for volunteers to join a number of GeoFutures Working Groups that will be established to help take forward the recommendations and actions outlined in the report. Whether you work in academia, government, industry, education, or simply have a passion for maps and geography, we would love to hear from you.
