We offer a large range of printmaking courses at our Chelsea Centre located just off the King’s Road, forBeginners, Intermediate and Advanced printmakers.
We are a well resourced department with specialist tutors who are practising artists and we offer a range of part time day and evening classes to cater for all experiences. The studio is light and spacious with specialist facilities for all the intaglio techniques including:
• 2 Rochat presses, bed size 26″x48″
• 1 relief press for lino cuts, bed size 16”x20”
• A UV light exposure unit for tran

Our advanced printmakers as print detectives at the British Museum’s Print and Drawings Room this week. Thank you to Lizzie Barrett for helping to organise this wonderful experience. They were lucky enough to see work by Kathe Kollwitz, Jim Dine, Robert Motherwell, Paula Rego, Cornelia Parker and much, much more. The Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair previews tonight, the biggest exhibition of contemporary printmaking. Many congratulations to the our students and tutors who were selected from the international open call. The exhibition runs Thursday-Sunday.
As well as over 1000 original artworks at accessible price points, WCPF22 offers visitors an interactive programme of engaging talks, workshops and events from leading Collectors, Creatives & Curators. From artist-led demonstrations and hands-on child-friendly workshops to collecting advice and interior's talks, there is truly something for everyone to enjoy.

This course combines structured teaching, informal workshop time and is designed as part of a year’s programme but can also be taken individually.
You will gain a good overview of the printmaking media and grounding in a wide range of techniques such as Drypoint, Collagraph, Lino cut, Monoprinting, Etching and Photo-Etching.
In Term 1 (Autumn) covering aspects of Drypoint, Collagraph, Linocut and Monoprint. In Term 2 (Spring) we focus on Photo Etching. In Term 3 (Summer) we focus on Traditional Etching.

Explore this exciting printmaking technique ‘Photo Etching (Photogravure)’ for transferring an image into print media for stunning and dynamic results. You will be introduced to the Photo Etching technique and related processes step by step. The technique is taught by demonstration, one-to-one, feedback and group tutorials, encouraging each student’s personal strengths and interests.
