Christmas time is here, it's a jolly good time of the year. This Christmas at hackney we took part in a few awesome activities with parents, staff and children. We had a range of activities, such as making Christmas crackers, having hot chocolate day and secret Santa.

The preschool room and the toddlers are still continuing the adventures in the community and this time they went to the library and the museum. In the museum they were able to explore and discover old toys and learn a little bit more about Hackney.

The preschool children have taken the opportunity to explore the community. For the month of june the children had an interest in the animals that lay eggs and the other that carry their baby in their belly. To help with their learning they went to Mudchute farm. On the way there they spoke about the different vehicles used to move around, and how to be safe on the road. They had a picnic at the farm and were really tired on the way back.

On Saturday 28th May we did 2 workshops for parents (looking and school readiness), followed by a BBQ. We had a very good turn ups and i would like to thank all the parents who took time out of their weekend to attend our BBQ. Thank you to all my staff as well who turned go for the day. It was lovely to see parents and staff mingling.

We want to thank one of our parents who is a nurse for coming in and hosting a mini medics session with our pre school children. The children was very engaged and enjoyed taking part
