Simon Marks Jewish Primary School

As part of Jewish Cultural Week, we are we are celebrating Sephardi week. With help from Harif, we are learning about different Sephardi cultures, eg; Moroccan and Yemeni Jews. We have been looking at the henna ceremony and experiencing henna on our hand. We have enjoyed Israeli dancing and dressed up. We are learning about the differences between the Sephardi customs and the Ashkenazi customs.

Today we had endless fun at Simon Marks celebrating Lag Ba'Omer. Not only did we have a lunchtime BBQ, but the whole day was filled with outdoor activities including archery, kite making, nature art and lots of fun.
