We are very pleased to embark on a new multi-lingual venture: SÚPER CHEFS provides the rare opportunity for Latin American children (ages 4-8) and their families to see themselves, their language, food and culture represented on a UK stage and is going to be on tour in early summer.

Presented by Maya Productions and directed by Suzanne Gorman, our conversation also started around the matters of diversity and representations.

Join in and sing, dance, and cook with 6-year-old Manny and his family in this new interactive, bilingual musical exploring Latin American culture in London. Directed by our collaborator Suzanne Gorman. The show is for children aged 4 – 8 and their families.

¡Canten, bailen, y cocinen con Manny y su familia!

Sing, dance and cook with the family as they celebrate food, explore identity and face challenges when the cooking plans are upended!

6-year-old Manny is making his very first guacamole for his dad’s welcome home dinner. It’s a good thing his mum Valeria is a professional chef and knows a song to help with the recipe. Manny’s grandma is preparing the dessert, but Abuela doesn’t like boys in the kitchen – after all, it wasn’t like that before. But Manny feels differently.

Why can’t he become a chef? Or a superhero like Mighty Mujer? Or both?!

Happy 50th Birthday Half Moon Young People's Theatre !

It’s our 50th birthday today! When we opened in 1972, Time Out said: “If this theatre continues at the present standard, it will soon be making a big impact in an area which is ill-served by theatres.” Glad to say were still here! Bring on another 50 years.
