We have been preparing our rising 5’s for their transition to primary school.

We have been trying on uniform, encouraging physical development and fine motor skills when practising buttons. Trying on uniform also boosts confidence and independence in self care.
Our children have loved looking through transition booklets from their own schools and enjoying lots of story books about starting school.

Our rising 5’s have been busy practising writing their names, learning CVC words and improving their drawing and colouring techniques.
We have been concentrating on forming the letters of the alphabet correctly. This is a key skill for children to cultivate. It helps to make their writing more legible and helps their writing speed and efficiency.
