1. 笨头笨脑 (bèn tóu bèn nǎo)
Meaning: slow-witted, dull, or not very clever
Example scenario:
Imagine you have a friend who often takes a bit longer to understand jokes or complicated concepts. You could use the idiom 笨头笨脑 to describe their slow-wittedness, but remember to use it in a light-hearted and non-offensive manner.
Example sentence:
他总是笨头笨脑的,需要解释很多遍才能明白。(Tā zǒng shì bèn tóu bèn nǎo de, xūyào jiěshì hěnduō biàn cáinéng míngbái.)
