Just a quick update on ISTD exams. We have been allocated Weds 11/5 and Thursday 12/5.
Times tbc but after school hours .
Wednesday schedule is Bronze Jazz, Siver Jazz and Adv 1 Modern.
Thursdays schedule is Intermedate modern, Adv 2 Tap

Olivier awards on tonight at 5.30. Our past pupil Carly Mercedes Dyer is up for best supporting actress in a musical (Anything Goes) streaming on the official london theatre (you tube) interviews already on there. Everything crossed for her🥰🥰

Hi all, just to say that for those of you who don’t already know, our past pupil Carly Mercedes Dyer, was nominated for a WhatsonStage award as best supporting actress in a musical (Anything Goes at the Barbican as Erma) which she subsequently won🎉🍾 Following this, she has now been nominated for an Olivier Award for the same thing. A wonderful achievment, very much deserved by such a hard working and dedicated pupil. Our sincere congratulations to Carly and everything crossed for her to win.🥰🥰

Quitting all fun stuff doesn't encourage discipline. If anything, I'd argue we need to show our children how their dance or exercise can help with their exam revision. It can help manage stress and re-focus their brain.

Hi All. So sorry that this is very last minute but Miss Emilia has had to isolate because some of her college students have tested positive for covid. I have tried to find a replacement but Miss Ellie isn't available and unfortunately Miss Alex and her family are all in isolation with covid. Miss Emilia has offered to teach on zoom but I know this is no good for our babies and I think everyone is pretty fed up with zoom so I think we will tack it onto the end of term or half term. So unfortunately there will be no classes tomorrow 22/1/22. lots of apologies and I'll update you on the replacement classes ASAP.

Hi all. So sorry but I have had to very quickly change timetable. unfortunately Kayley is not available on Fridays this term and additionally some of our senior classes have been poorly attended so I have changed them to accommodate our good regulars and challenge them with a change of style. The contemporary class on fridays is open to grade6, inters and int foundation, adv 1 and any other senior who is able to attend.
for the time being Saturdays will remain the same except for adv 1 modern which is now on wednesdays in place of the previous senior modern and ballet classes.

Hi all, Miss Konstantina has saved the day and will be coming to dancing tonight. The schedule is as follows
ISTD INTER MODERN as normal
adv 2 tap. As a special one off Konstantina will give an introd introductory CONTEMPORARY CLASS, as this is new everybody is invited to take part for no charge. It sounds a great opportunity to get a feel for this style. Im sure you will enjoy it so come along and give it a try.
Senior classes: the usual shenanigans, your choreographies, choccies, some social interaction and fun.
Miss Konstantina has said this “I will save the day and have a fun day with the girls ! I’ll put my crazy Christmas decorations on my hair and have a great day!!! “
Have a great time all of you and get into the xmas spirit. It will hopefully make up for last year

Hi all. Miss Kayley has just tested positive for COVID so is unable to teach tomorrow. It’s last day of term and traditionally is fun night. Is there anyone out there who can come and cover the party night? Please contact me ASAP as otherwise we will have to cancel. Please ask around💜💜

Hi All, hope everything is continuing ok with you all. Just a request. As you know we’re planning the usual Xmas party on Saturday 11/12. 1.30-3.30. For the usual shenanigans 🎉🎉
Are there any lovely mums out there who would be prepared to oversee the food and goodies that people bring. Just putting the stuff out really and maybe heating up any sausages/rolls etc that may appear. There’s plates etc in the communal kitchen but I guess we will need paper plates and cups. There might be some left in kitchen cupboard but will reimburse anything that needs to be purchased. They’ll be a bit of clearing up after but any onopened stuff could go for seniors last day on Wednesday. PM me or leave a message on here. Thanks in advance
Also any ex LJs around who wouldn’t mind carrying on all our silly traditional games at party. We’ve got pass the parcel sorted but only the LJS know the LJ PARTY🥰🥳💃🏻😀xx

Hi all, hope all is well with everyone. Just to let you know, that due to unforeseen circumstances Miss Ellie can‘t teach today 27/11, but Miss Emilia will be covering her classes so enjoy and have a lovely time🩰🩰
XMAS PARTY will be as usual on 11/12 at 1.30pm. Usual format, so just bring some food along to share and let the fun commence. Everybody welcome🎉🎉
ISTD exams are scheduled for around March 2022 and RAD for the summer term.
Festival work is coming along well, let me know if anyone else needs new dances.
congrats to Gaby Gregorian who opened in panto at Cheltenham this week(Jack and the Beanstalk) and to Melissa Nettleford who is now in Moulin Rouge in the West End.
also Rachel Picar and Carly Dyer who are both at present in Chorus Line, also west end.
