🏅 Different venue. Same Hammersmith Academy spirit.
This year's Sports Day looked a little different, but one thing certainly didn't change – the enthusiasm, determination and team spirit shown by our students.
From track events and field challenges to House competitions and plenty of encouragement from the sidelines, it was a fantastic day of participation, resilience and fun.
Congratulations to Attenborough House for being crowned this year's Sports Day champions! 🏆
A huge thank you to our PE team and staff for organising another memorable day, and well done to every student who took part.

On Saturday, Hammersmith Academy families enjoyed an exclusive Family Day at Kensington Palace, delivered through our valued partnership with Historic Royal Palaces.
Families explored one of Britain's most iconic royal residences while taking part in a range of interactive activities, including a zine making workshop inspired by objects from the Royal Collection, object handling sessions, The Last Princesses of Punjab exhibition and an opportunity to meet Queen Caroline.
Experiences like these are an important part of our commitment to broadening horizons, strengthening family engagement and connecting learning with the rich cultural opportunities available beyond the classroom.
Our sincere thanks to the Historic Royal Palaces team for another outstanding event and for their continued partnership with Hammersmith Academy.

Our Year 11 students marked the end of an incredible chapter with an unforgettable Prom aboard a Thames river cruise, taking in London's iconic skyline as they celebrated together.
It was an evening filled with laughter, music and memories as students reflected on everything they have achieved and looked ahead to the exciting opportunities that await them.
Congratulations, Year 11. We are incredibly proud of you and wish you every success in your next chapter.

Hammersmith Academy students were invited to the Natural History Museum, London for the national launch of the Department for Education's proposed Natural History GCSE.
The event provided students with the opportunity to engage directly with leading figures from education, science and conservation, including Education Secretary Bridget Phillipson.
Students took part in natural science activities and contributed to discussions about the future of environmental education and the role young people can play in understanding and protecting the natural world.
Ahead of the event, students also joined a discussion with renowned naturalist, explorer, presenter and author Steve Backshall, who shared his experiences and spoke about the importance of helping young people develop a meaningful connection with nature.
At Hammersmith Academy, we are committed to ensuring students have opportunities to engage with the issues, ideas and developments that will shape their futures. We are proud that our students were able to contribute to this important national conversation.
