This morning our Explorers went on a local trip to the park. They got to explore the playground equipment to help promote their gross motor skills. They also worked on their turn taking skills and spoke about what they could see in the park and playground promoting their communication skills. 😀

Today we said a Good Bye and Good Luck to 13 Butterflies Graduates! We had a lovely celebration reflecting on each child's journey at Butterflies. We wish them all the very best on their next adventure of school and thank them for all the lovely memories they have created with our staff team.

The babies enjoyed exploring a spring flower and vegetable themed messy tray. The older babies commented on the colours they saw and also explored real potatoes and carrots in the soil.

This morning at Butterflies the Easter bunny came and left some special Easter eggs in the garden.

The children used their 'looking eyes' to help find them all. They searched up high and low using their motor skills to collect as many eggs as they could. 🐰🥚

This week the Explorers and Inventors went to visit some friendly animals at Dean City Farm. They particularly enjoyed seeing the cheeky goat who tried to get over the fence.

The trip helped ignite some wonderful discussions with the children, such as one child saying "That's where we get our milk from." pointing to the cow. Other's were asking questions to extend their knowledge and understanding, such as, "Why does the goat have different shape eyes?" and "What do they eat?".

This morning the babies came in with their toy dinosaurs missing. They soon begun to unwrap some packages on the table to which they found their beloved dinosaurs.

This activity promotes curiosity as well as support their fine motor skills.
