🎥 Learning Spanish through cinema 🎥

In this class, we explored the work of Isabel Coixet, diving into her films, her style, and the unique linguistic nuances of Catalonia 🎬


It’s moments like these that remind us that there’s no single “Spanish”, but a rich diversity of voices, accents, and perspectives waiting to be discovered 🇪🇸

And the best part?
It didn’t feel like studying at all. Just curiosity, conversation, and a shared love for film


At VEN, learning happens in many ways — sometimes, all it takes is pressing play ▶️📚

🤔 Laughing in Spanish? Now that’s a challenge 🤔

We went to see a stand-up comedy show in Spanish with one of our groups, and yes, we laughed a lot… but we also had to really work for it! 😂🎤


Comedy isn’t easy: it’s fast, full of slang, cultural references, and wordplay.

That’s why we prepared in class beforehand, reviewing key vocabulary and concepts to help make the most of the experience 🇬🇧🔄🇪🇸


And it paid off…because understanding a joke in another language is a whole new level of achievement!
