What is PLAB2? 🩺 💊

PLAB 2 is an objective structured clinical exam (OSCE). It's made up of 16 scenarios, each lasting eight minutes and aims to reflect real life settings including a mock consultation or an acute ward.

The exam covers everything a UK trained doctor might expect to see on the first day of Foundation Year Two (F2). It tests your ability to apply knowledge to the care of patients, not how well you can remember and recite facts.

What is the PLAB 1? 🩺

The Professional and Linguistic Assessments Board is for doctors who have qualified overseas and wish to practice medicine in the UK under limited registration.
The test assesses your ability, as a doctor, to work safely as a senior house officer in a UK NHS hospital.

Before the test, you must have:
1. Primary Medical Qualifications
2. Academic IELTS: Average of 7.5 with a minimum of 7 in each component

What is the IELTS? 👀💉

The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is designed to help you work, study or migrate to a country where English is the native language. This includes countries such as Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the UK and USA.

🩺 💊 For medical studies, it is required from doctors to achieve an average of 7,5 with a minimum of 7 in each component. 🧑🏻‍⚕️👩🏼‍💻

An average of 7.5 is equivalent to C2.
