In July, our co-chair, Professor Sir Sam Everington, appeared on Radio 4's Today programme alongside other healthcare professionals to discuss children's health in the UK.

His appearance on the radio programme saw Professor Sir Sam discuss obesity, poor dental health, Vitamin D deficiencies and how Type 2 diabetes, often caused by factors linked to lifestyle, has risen in young adults.

In July, The College of Medicine’s key stakeholders met for our annual general meeting.

During the AGM, our co-chair, Sir Michael Dixon, reflected on our successes during the previous year – including the rise of social prescribing initiatives on a global scale, as well as issuing a rallying cry over the urgent work that still needs to be done to improve healthcare for everyone.
