Horse racing is more dangerous than football for concussions. Why isn't the US doing more? 10/04/2019

Dr Michael Turner, ICHIRF Medical Director and Chairman, recently spoke to the Courier Journal:

"Helmets are great, but they’re specifically to prevent skull fractures.

There are no helmets anywhere in the world that have been proven to mitigate concussion."

Dr Turner trained 185 doctors and 90 nurses to diagnose concussions at UK racetracks, set up baseline screening centers in a dozen locations and organized post-concussion reviews by independent neurologists.
