Did you know? The UCAS Multiple Equality Measure shows that 1 in 4 of the most advantaged English 18 year olds enter highly-selective universities compared to only 1 in 50 of the most disadvantaged pupils. The Researchers in Schools programme is run by The Brilliant Club, an award-winning charity that exists to increase the number of pupils from under-represented backgrounds progressing to highly-selective universities. We want to tackle the entrenched link that exists in the UK today between pupils’ background and their access to higher education. The Researchers in Schools programme aims to mobilise the PhD community to become outstanding classroom teachers in non-selective state schools, as well as champions of research and higher education. By joining RIS, you can help us to achieve our mission! Applications will be opening on Monday 19th August - register your interest here: https://www.tfaforms.com/4753649
