KCL ABSOC CHAIRTY DINNER POSTPONED

Firstly we would like to apologise for the series of messages we have been sending out for the dinner and all the confusion it has caused, it has been a difficult situation given the circumstances. This is the final update: The 17th annual charity dinner has been postponed.

We’ve been putting a lot of effort into figuring out how to deal with the situation and after negotiating with the venue we have been able to postpone the charity dinner until the coronavirus situation has improved and social isolation is no longer recommend.

We’re really committed to upholding the standard of this event and it’s cause and so we will hold this event when everyone’s safety can be ensured at a later date

This has been an ongoing situation that we have been trying to deal with in the best possible way and we thank you dearly for your patience throughout. We look forward to seeing you all at at a more appropriate date.

Al Kawthar was established to fight poverty and help vulnerable orphans and widows in Iraq.

The charity sponsors over 650 orphans and provides occasional support to a further 1000 orphans and 600 widows.

Our annual charity dinner this year is raising money for this cause. Everything donated via the tickets will go directly towards Al kawthar.

Honestly we had an amazing time and we're so grateful for everyone who decided to get involved. Tomorrow we're holding a Bake Sale for the homeless at Waterloo Campus (9am-5pm, pop by to get your afternoon sugar rush! 🍩

Winter is coming ❄ King's ABSoc will be collecting second-hand and new winter clothes for the homeless as part of the Winter Homeless Drive 🧤. Contact us if you would like to donate items of clothing; we'll pick them up from you on campus until the 12th of December 😊

It's a wrap! With such an amazing ending to this year's Ashura Awareness Week, we'd love to show our appreciation to those who performed at our Poetry Night! We were captured by the different styles of poetry and the eloquent tales of "Patience". We'd like to thank everyone who attended and we hope you enjoyed it just as much as we did 😊

That's the end of our annual Ashura Awareness Week stalls, in which we distributed free sweet bags at Guys and Waterloo campuses with a brief description of who Hussain was.

We'd like to say a massive thank you to everyone who volunteered their time at the stalls and we hope to see you all tomorrow at Poetry night to conclude this week 💕

Salaam Everyone 🌹 Our Flagship event Poetry Night will be on this coming Friday. This year's theme is Patience! If you would like to submit poetry/spoken word/rap for this highly anticipated evening, please let us know by this coming Thursday. We'll be waiting eagerly insha'Allah 🙏

King's Ahlul Bayt Society, in collaboration with the Islamic Unity Society, were honoured to host Dr Sayed Ammar Nakshawani for a sold out event at Bush House Auditorium. The talk shed light on many of the misunderstandings, misconceptions, and misattributions on our beloved Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and the Holy Qur'an. We thank Dr Sayed Ammar Nakshawani for his informative and enlightening talk and we pray that the Muslim youth forever feel empowered in their religion.
