The team at Faces In Focus want to say a huge thank you to everyone who submitted to our open call for our first journal ~ In Focus: FOLD.
We have been completely blown-away by the work sent in, embodying the theme of community in its many forms.
Community feels more important now than ever before. The notion of community spirit is growing and changing, with new ones forming all the time during this period of uncertainty.
Times like these call for kindness, and, in our opinion, for creativity.
We are still going ahead and pushing this project forward however we can so we aim to stay connected and keep you posted on what’s to come and in the meantime we hope to spread and share as much positivity as we can.

• THE STREET • “A film about love and loss, a community unravelled by gentrification, and the nation’s slide into Brexit.’ Zed Nelsons’ documentary ‘The Street’ is a really powerful piece of work created over a four-year-period on Hoxton Street, London.

What does ‘community’ mean to you?

Faces In Focus was started as a photographic initiative, social enterprise and network for photographers of all levels, and is now starting a new chapter with their first ever, multi-disciplinary, journal – In Focus.
And we want to work with you!
FIF are looking for writers, poets, artists, thinkers and (of course) photographers to contribute to our journal.
We’d also love to hear from those of you running, involved in, founders of, members of and beneficiaries of inspiring, supportive, motivational and educational programmes which hold the concept of community at their heart.

Opens: Friday 7th February 2020
Closes: Sunday 15th March 2020
