So I picked up my crochet hook and made this little Positive Potato. A tiny pocket sidekick to keep her company one potato-sized step at a time.

Neurographica 🤝 Kinusaiga.

Neurographica is a drawing method that uses free-flowing, organic lines and the deliberate rounding of intersections to shift thought patterns and open up new neural pathways. Kinusaiga is a traditional Japanese no-sew fabric art technique where scraps are pressed into a foam board to create rich, textured pictures.

I wanted to see what happened if I combined them, so I used fabric instead of colour to fill the Neurographic spaces. Each section chosen intuitively. No colour plan, no fabric scheme — just reach and respond. The navy yarn outlines came last, to bring the Neurographic lines back to the surface, hopefully helping to rewire those neural pathways 🤞

The universe can consider itself notified. 🖤✨

Thank you to the .art - I bought this box months and months ago and been saving it!! (No idea why - wish I'd started sooner...) Loved making this ... Hours unravelling yarn ✔️
So happy with how it turned out ✔️
Actually wearing it ❌

Because then I shrunk it in the wash before I got to wear it once. Doh!!! 😭

This started with a gorgeous soft blanket from a charity shop and ended with a hexi cardi with actual little ears on the hood for new baby cousin. In between: a lot of frogging and trusting the yarn winder to sort my life out.
Could I have just bought something? Yes. Most ethical, eco-friendly make ever? Yup.
So much yarn left — watch this space to see what I make next.
