Exciting News from Plumstead Manor Sixth Form! 🌟
We’re delighted to announce that Plumstead Manor School has again secured 30 exclusive places on The Old Vic’s “Take the Lead” programme — a fantastic opportunity for our Year 12 students!
Designed by the renowned Old Vic Theatre in Waterloo, this programme uses drama techniques and creative workshops to help young people develop five key employability skills:
✨ Communication
✨ Teamwork
✨ Problem‑solving
✨ Self‑belief
✨ Self‑management
Alongside skill‑building, Take the Lead puts a strong focus on well‑being and self‑esteem, offering activities that support students’ mental health and personal growth.
Our Year 12s will take part in two in‑school workshops and also visit the London headquarters of the Old Vic’s Principal Partner, Royal Bank of Canada, for a dynamic recruitment relay experience.

We are thrilled to celebrate another year of remarkable progress and success in our Post 16 results. We are extremely proud of what all our young people have accomplished throughout their 7-year journey with us as we once again see outstanding achievements across a range of courses and pathways. All our young people will leave us secure in the knowledge that they will each fulfil their dreams as they step into their next adventure. Be it university, an ambitious apprenticeship or another exciting pathway, Plumstead Manor Sixth Form has provided the support and guidance to allow them to progress, flourish and excel.
We have continued the improvements of recent years with 30% of entries achieving the top grades A* or A Grades, and a 100% pass rate on our BTEC/Vocational courses. 92% studying vocational courses achieved a Distinction* to Merit on those same courses. These results stem from almost 400 entries across a wide range of A level and Vocational qualifications, securing progression onto chosen competitive course and employment pathways.
