Whilst the Year 6s were on the slopes yesterday, Ms Bradshaw received an email of note from a fellow holidaymaker who had passed our pupils on the slopes of Les Menuires. They wrote to say:

“I’m on holiday in Les Menuires and on a number of occasions today, whilst on the slopes, I passed pupils with Bute House covers on their helmets. Can I just say what a credit they are to the school. Polite, considerate and clearly making the most of this opportunity. I was so impressed I’ve come back to the hotel to look up the school to let you know.”

They are heading back from their spectacular, blue-skied trip tomorrow and we can’t wait to hear all the stories!

So much drama! This year, a selection of year 5 and 6 pupils brilliantly presented an abridged rendition of A Midsummer Night’s Dream in the Questors Theatre, directed by Mrs Greenwood. The evening was a great success the girls thoroughly enjoyed displaying their work! This is Bute House’s fourth consecutive year participating in the Coram Shakespeare Schools Festival and we look forward to may more. Thank you ! 🌟✨

Out of the kiln and into the paint 🎨 Year 2 have painted a base coat, added patterns, and varnished their Burkina Faso clay homes. Excellent detailing! We can’t wait to display them in our wilderness garden!

Continuing our partnership with the highway engineers at LBHF, year 6 visited Hammersmith Bridge to explore first-hand the historical and engineering reasons behind its long-term closure. As always, Paxton, the STEM mascot made his appearance too. The visit concluded with a well-earned hot chocolate at ☕️🌁
