We live in a semi-detached house in Rise Park. My home is bright, clean and safe for children. I come from a large Irish family and was brought up and surrounded by children and it seemed a good career move to go into childcare. I live very close to collier row shops and there is many bus routes to romford/romford station for parents who travel to London. We are also close to 3 parks and the local
library. We have 2 cats called Topsy and Buttons. I offer affordable flexible childcare in a secure welcoming and stimulating environment. An exciting home from home for your child to explore. I have a 30ft garden with lots of outdoor toys and activities to do. I provide lots of activities that help each child I care for learn through play. Activities range from arts and crafts to experimenting with messy play, cooking and much more. I also have a large range of toys that's support the EYFS and help your child develop. I love looking after children, it is more than just a job, it's about watching them grow and learn, nurturing and helping them grow into independent confident young people that will set them in good stead for later life. Being a childminder and a mum is such a rewarding job. I work alongside parents to help children settle when they first start at the setting and follow parents routines as closely as possible. I use an online system called babysdays which allows you to log into your child's profile on a daily basis to see what they are doing each day, photos I've taken as well as observations I've made, learning journals and progress reports. I have policies and procedures that are in line with the welfare and legal requirements of the Early Years Foundation Framework. I also have policies on admission/fees and these are viewed before contracts are signed. I provide healthy food and drinks and children are taught good hygiene whilst in my care. I also offer trips to local parks, soft play areas, trips to farms such as Barleylands and Old MacDonalds. I also meet up with other childminders in the area to go to the local baby and toddler groups to ensure children interact with children their own age and I also do days out with other childminders. I follow the EYFS which covers the 7 areas of learning from baby to school age and provide reports on your child's progress within my setting. I treat each child in my care with love, support and respect to help them grow and expand their minds. I have taken many courses listed below and certificates can be viewed upon request. I am available from 7.30am to 6pm Monday to Friday and have places from six months to 8 years. I also offer a waiting list to secure a place for your child if you return to work. This then gives you peace of mind that your child has a childcare space. A minimal retainer fee will be charged on a monthly basis to secure the place. no other child can take your child's space once a fee is paid. I offer full time, before and after school care, holidays and ad-hoc days when required. I have obtained my CYPOP 5 certificate (Crèche) in childcare
