At 23 years old, I was living the life I thought I wanted.
Music had taken me from Cape Town to London.
I arrived in the “big smoke” chasing freedom, significance, success, and acceptance.
And I did it all alone.
No mentors.
No guidance.
No real support system.
No people around me willing to challenge me, question me, or remind me who I really was.
I thought doing everything alone made me strong.
Now I know…
If you’re doing life alone, you’re doing it wrong.
Because somewhere along the way, I created a dangerous rule for happiness…
“If I receive enough from the world… then I’ll finally feel enough.”
More attention.
More validation.
More money.
More approval.
More experiences.
More external success.
So by 23, I got what I thought I wanted.
I became a full-time DJ.
I had access to VIP rooms.
People wanted to be around me.
I could do whatever I wanted.
From the outside, it looked exciting.
But internally?
I felt deeply unhappy.
Because external success cannot replace internal connection.
And eventually, life teaches you a lesson many people spend decades avoiding…
The things you chase to feel worthy often become the very things that disconnect you from yourself.
What I was really searching for wasn’t attention.
It was meaning.
Connection.
Community.
Purpose.
Love.
Truth.
That’s why today I care so deeply about environment, mentorship, and surrounding yourself with people who call you forward.
Not people who just celebrate your distractions.
The right people don’t just support your success.
They protect your spirit while you build it.
And sometimes the strongest thing a person can do…
…is stop pretending they have to do everything alone.

High vibration is not about forcing yourself to “stay positive” all day. That’s one of the biggest misunderstandings people have.
It’s not about pretending to feel good. It’s about becoming nonnegotiable around the activities, habits, environments, thoughts, and people that naturally create higher frequency emotions.
And equally important… Removing the things that lower your frequency.
Your vibration is shaped by…
What you consume. What you tolerate. What you focus on. What you repeatedly do. Who you spend time with. What you feed your body and mind. How you speak to yourself. Whether you live aligned with truth or fear.
High vibration isn’t “good vibes only.”
It’s discipline.
It’s training when you don’t feel like it. Not getting upset over petty s**t! Meditating instead of reacting. Protecting your attention. Sleeping properly. Eating foods that energize you. Choosing growth over comfort. Spending less time in negativity, gossip, chaos, comparison, doom scrolling, and toxic environments.
The goal is not perfection. You will still feel anger, frustration, fear, stress, sadness, and uncertainty sometimes. That’s part of being human.
The difference is… You don’t build your identity there. You don’t live there. You have systems, habits, standards, and awareness that help you return to alignment faster.
High vibration is not a mood. It’s a lifestyle. A way of living. A way of leading yourself. And over time, your “default frequency” changes because your daily actions change.
The Iron Monk way is… Protect your energy. Guard your mind. Train your body. Feed your spirit. Live aligned.
