☀️ Summer may not have fully arrived just yet, but with the Summer Solstice on 21st June marking the longest day of the year, warmer days are hopefully just around the corner!

Whether you're enjoying sunshine, dodging rain showers or doing a bit of both, the summer months bring wonderful opportunities for sensory exploration. Babies love watching leaves dancing in the breeze, listening to birdsong and discovering new sights, sounds and textures outdoors.

As Dr Lin Day reminds us, sunlight is an important source of vitamin D, but babies' delicate skin needs extra protection during periods of strong UV radiation.

Because of concerns over sunburn, the FDA recommends that babies avoid direct sunlight between 10am and 4pm, when UV radiation is at its strongest.

Just a reminder that the wonderful team from miniBIG Studios (formally Fergus Ford Photography) will be in our classes this week taking gorgeous photos of your little ones which can be bought and printed there and then, ready for you to take away on the day!

Parents and carers can pop their names on the list upon arrival at class, and be called out throughout the session for their mini photo shoot! Please note that the mini shoots are first come first served, so please do come a little early if you would like to be seen first.
With your name on the list, we do a little mini shoot with baby and the photographs are ready to view on our touchscreen computers straight away.

We include the grown up in the beginning of your little one’s session, so each child feels happy and relaxed. You can then view and choose your favourite photographs during the class, which are then printed in 6″ x 8″ and mounted ready to take home at the end of class.
