Young Music Makers Saturday Music School at William Ellis School, NW5 1RN Young Music Makers is a Saturday music centre for the whole family. Visitors are always welcome.

Established in 1967, we have been at the heart of music education in North London for 50 years, offering music lessons and groups for students from aged four… to 94! Based in Kentish Town, we offer a wonderful Early Years programme called Music Box, where children aged four and up can be creative with music, whilst developing core musicianship skills. We are very lucky to have some of the best professional musicians in London as part of the YMM family, providing instrumental tuition on piano, violin, viola, cello, recorder, flute, clarinet, saxophone, drum kit, percussion, ukulele, classical guitar, rock-pop guitar, jazz guitar, voice, trumpet, french horn and trombone. With over 30 different instrumental ensembles and choirs, including 8 adult groups, whatever your age or ability: we have a group for you! so call us on 07958 445 246 or drop in to La Sainte Union School, NW5 - Saturdays during term time!

We're lucky to have at YMM, a fabulous trumpet player and professional arranger.

He transcribes and arranges classic material for the band, led by himself and . Here is a snippet of Jazz 2 playing Reuben's arrangement of Gil Evans' 'BOPLICITY' from the seminal Miles Davis album 'BIRTH OF THE COOL'.

Happy New Year, Everyone!

Here's a clip from the YMM Big Band with their version of Freddie Hubbard's classic 'Little Sunflower.' 🌻

We're lucky at YMM to have two fantastic players and educators running our inclusive Big Band, Joel Knee and Reuben Fowler. Reuben is also a fantastic professional arranger, and YMM is lucky to be able to benefit from his considerable talents!

Joel brings his expertise in Latin American music to this piece with an augmented rhythm section from the Salsa group.

The YMM Big Band is open to all players Grade 4+, so if you fancy joining, don't hesitate to reach out to us at [email protected]
