On the 24th of February, Vladimir Putin launched a massive military attack, an invasion on Ukraine. Russia has imposed bloodshed, mass exodus, and a grave humanitarian crisis onto Ukraine.

The UCL Diplomacy Society strongly condemns Russia’s invasion and the attack of Ukraine’s sovereignty. We condemn Putin’s choice of war over peace and diplomacy. We condemn Russia for bringing war in Europe.

We would like to show our support to our Ukrainian students, the Ukrainian government, the thousands of displaced Ukrainians, the Ukrainians fighting for their sovereignty and independence. We would also like to extend our support to anyone affected by this conflict, to the thousands of Russian citizens that do not recognise themselves in the decisions of their government. We stand with Ukraine.

We ask all of our members to help in whatever way they can, we ask you to stay informed on the conflict. If you wish to express your solidarity there are also daily protests organised at Trafalgar Square.

If you would like to help within UCL please closely follow and .ukraine society.
