For the first FWF of the year, we're highlighting the Domed Pendant project!
This project is a key part of the Level 3 Jewellery Design and Manufacturing diploma, emphasising technical accuracy and craftsmanship.
During the design module, learners explore the rich cultural significance of mandalas across various traditions. Through research and creative interpretation, they develop their own contemporary mandala designs. These designs are then applied to their silver dome pendants, encouraging personal expression and integration of cultural influences with modern aesthetics.

The artist, Rozana Piper, said of her creation: “Being part of this project, combining my design ‘Scars Woven of Memories’ with performance, has been an incredibly inspiring experience. This body jewellery design celebrates scars as threads of resilience, honouring the memories woven into our lives. Seeing the performance bring these pieces to life through movement and emotion was truly powerful. The exhibition beautifully captures this unique collaboration, where jewellery becomes more than just an accessory, it transforms into a living, breathing story of strength and connection.”

Last Friday we hosted an innovative live event with contemporary dance students from LCDS at The Place. ✨
Centred on the theme of 'Connection', our BA (Hons) Jewellery Design and Production created large pieces for the dancers' bespoke performances and smaller diffusion pieces to display.

We've announced two new Open Days in January at our Birmingham campus ✨
