✨ Student Spotlight | Veronika Dika

Meet Veronika Dika, one of our BA (Hons) Jewellery Design students, whose final collection showcases exceptional craftsmanship, intricate detailing, and a bold creative vision.

Drawing together technical skill and imaginative design, Veronika’s work demonstrates how jewellery can tell powerful stories through form, texture, and material.

She expressed how her work sits at the intersection of jewellery, psychology, and belief, drawing on research into placebo science and the human tendency to invest objects with power.

The Sigillum Collection presents gemstones as agents believed capable of influencing the wearer's internal state. Each of its three pieces is built around a personal affirmation, condensed through a process of abstraction into a single unified symbol, encoded directly into the form of the piece. 💫

💜 With all the excitement around BTS coming to London for their “Arirang” World Tour we wanted to spotlight a piece of student work inspired by one of the group’s own. ✨

Created by a BAJ student, Naima Cheniya, this jewellery design was inspired by SUGA and his openness about mental health, exploring how jewellery can tell personal stories and spark meaningful conversations.

Naima expressed that this piece was crafted for Suga of BTS, it honours his dedication to mental health awareness and breaking down the stigma surrounding it. The ring's design is a wound with stiches forming the word 'Live' holding the piece together, serving as a powerful reminder symbolizing resilience, urging us to embrace life, scars and all, without shame, finding strength in our journey to keep living.

It’s a reminder that inspiration can come from anywhere and that creativity has the power to connect people, ideas, and experiences. ✨
