Traditional craft has strict rules, it symbolizes tradition and heritage, rarely an individual self expression. There is a certain tempo to rules and symbols as they compose the music of that memory. But for a moment; the lyrics create that tone of self expression and it binds the present with the past with a reason, a living memory of old and new. Zenab Garbia is an Israeli Bedouin artist from Segev Shalom, in her work, she combines traditional Bedouin embroidery with clay.
