A truly joyful and inspiring workshop with the wonderful U3A group 🎨

We spent the session exploring colour, light and texture through this vibrant cake composition — and just look at the results. Every painting is completely unique, full of personality, confidence and expression.

It’s always such a pleasure to see how everyone develops their own style while working from the same theme. A room full of focus, laughter and creativity — exactly what art should be.

Thank you to this brilliant group for your openness, energy and beautiful work.

Today I stepped into a house that feels like it has been breathing for more than a century.

Old hydraulic tiles under my feet. Thick walls that have held summer heat and winter silence. Bottles wrapped in wicker. A Catalan prayer book. Keys that once opened real wooden doors, not just locks but lives.

This house in the old centre of Torredembarra was likely built in the early 1900s. I imagine a local family living here — perhaps wine merchants, perhaps small traders. Children growing up on these narrow streets. The civil war passing through their windows. Electricity arriving slowly. Traditions held quietly inside these walls.

Nothing feels staged. It feels preserved. Not as a museum, but as memory.

Standing there, I felt the weight of continuity. How families carry customs. How houses carry stories. How roots shape generations.

There is something deeply beautiful in spaces that were built “for life”, not for trends.
Sometimes architecture teaches us more about stability, culture and belonging than any book ever could.

Sometimes two people work side by side, each following their own thread, and only later realise those threads have quietly crossed.

This exhibition came together in that way. Different paths, different rhythms, but a shared space where the works begin to speak to each other. Not by agreement, but by presence.

Interwoven Narratives is simply an invitation to slow down, look, and notice how stories meet.

Private View: 10 February at 7.00 pm
Exhibition open until 28 February
