Over 2,000 years old — and still working! 💧
The Dujiangyan Irrigation System uses a genius way to split the Min River: one side feeds the land, the other carries floods and sand away. 🌊🌿
It turned Sichuan into the “Land of Abundance” and remains the oldest still-functioning irrigation project in the world. Truly timeless wisdom!

🌟 好消息 / Good News! 🌟
We’re happy to share that WenLin Chinese School has once again received the Princess Royal Training Award 🎉 — our second time after first winning it in 2021!
This year, out of 143 finalist applications reviewed by HRH The Princess Royal, only 57 organisations across the UK and Ireland received this honour.
A huge thank-you to our wonderful teachers, students, and families — this recognition belongs to all of us. ❤️

Mist over green peaks, streams whispering through the valleys… 🌿⛰️
At Qingcheng Mountain, birthplace of Taoism, our students learned about harmony with nature while surrounded by scenery straight out of a painting.

Panda keepers for a day 🐼💚
At Dujiangyan Panda Base, our students fed pandas fresh bamboo, made snacks, cleaned enclosures, and stood just a metre away from these adorable giants.
They left with a Panda Volunteer Certificate — proof of achievement and a memory to treasure forever.

We stood where the Yangtze meets the Jialing, watching thousands of drones paint Chongqing’s night sky. 🌌✨
This same team made history in June 2025 — 11,787 drones, the world’s largest aerial image, a Guinness World Record!

One of the things we most looked forward to in Chongqing was watching the Guinness World Record-holding drone team in action. Standing at the confluence of the Yangtze and Jialing rivers, our students were mesmerised as thousands of drones shifted like fireflies into mountains, flowers, and scenes of the city.

In June 2025, this same team made history with 11,787 drones, creating the world’s largest aerial image — a dazzling fusion of technology and art. Their free 20-minute show every Saturday at 9pm is not just entertainment; it’s a celebration of innovation and creativity.
